Schools, Colleges and Youth Groups

During 2009 we were inspected, and achieved the Council for Learning outside the Classroom Quality Badge for Adventurous Activities.

HYMB has the Adventuremark Quality Badge demonstrating our high standards in all our Outdoor Adventurous Activities.
We have many years experience of running fun, safe, challenging team building, land and water based activities for schools, colleges and youth groups, with many groups returning year after year.

Our programme runs throughout the year and can cater for up to 150 students in the following activities:
Canoeing, Kayaking, Climbing, Caving, Raft Building, Bellboating, Dragon Boating, Sailing, Windsurfing, Problem Solving, Adventure Games, Orienteering, Camping and Bushcraft.

We cater for all ability groups, including wheelchair users. We have a variety of tracking and mobile hoists (Liko and Molift) for changing room aids and getting people in and out of water craft.

Courses are tailored to suit your specific educational needs. Please contact us to arrange a visit (if possible) to discuss your requirements and provide us with as much information as possible, so we can do our best to tailor your requirements. Our risk assessments are available to view on site.

Please note that we do get booked up well in advance, so contact us early to avoid disappointment.

Groups with own leaders:
Contact us for details of rates for using our equipment. As leaders you must meet the necessary requirements in the activity of your choice, both qualifications and numbers. Note that we do run courses that enable you to become qualified to use our equipment, if you are not already appropriately qualified.
Groups without leaders:
We are able to provide leaders to meet your requirements. Call us to discuss your needs. We can create a package to meet your needs, whether it is a multi activity day, or camp, or a specific course. You may wish to turn your stay into a residential and make the most of the easily accessible facilities in the area.
