HYMB: School Holiday Activities

Bookings for Individuals
To book on any course for adults or for young people you need to phone to check availability and then complete an application form and send it with the full payment to HYMB. Cheques made payable to Herts Young Mariners Base. We do not take provisional bookings and will not reserve places without full payment.

Cancellations

Bookings cancelled 28 days or more before the event will receive a full refund less a £20 administration fee.

Cancellations made less than 28 days before the event will not receive a refund.

HYMB reserves the right to cancel a course should the numbers fail to reach a viable minimum. Decisions will be made 21 days prior to the commencement of the course. A transfer to an acceptable alternative or a full refund will be made.

We do not send confirmations of bookings. If you require confirmation please enclose a S.A.E. or ask for confirmation to an email address.

Bookings for Groups

Enquiries can be made by phone. Whilst on the phone we will fill in a booking form and let you know how much your booking will cost. If you wish to go ahead with the booking we will then send you 2 copies of the booking form. One to be returned to us within 14 days with a specified deposit or an official order, and the other for your records.

We do not take provisional bookings.

You will then be invoiced for the remainder of the balance, which will be due within 28 days of the invoice or 28 days before the activity, whichever is sooner.

No activities will go ahead unless payment has been received.
We will send you a register, which must be fully completed before the activity starts

Cancellations and Alterations for Groups

Bookings cancelled 28 days or more before the event will receive a full refund less an administration fee of £35.

If you cancel your booking within 28 days of the course you are liable for the full cost.

If you alter your booking by reducing the number of participants within 28 days of the course you are liable for the full cost.

If you reduce the number of participants before this 28 day deadline you will be refunded for the alteration less a £35 administration fee for each time an alteration is made.

If you increase the number of participants we may not be in a position to accommodate this increase, but if we are you will be charged the appropriate rate for the extra participants.
Do not bring more participants than you have booked for, as the extra will not be able to participate.
