| Junior Membership |
All young people who attend any of the activities through the base must be members.
Junior membership is available to all 9 to 18 year olds.
Membership cost £5.00
and is valid until 31 December 2008
Membership enables participation in the regular weekly Tclubs, courses, holiday activities, day
and weekend trips and the Tclub camp run by HYMB.
(HYMB membership does not enable participation in sessions
run by Herts Canoe Lifeguards, or Edmonton Canoe Group)

| Usage by Junior Members 9 to
15 years old |
Junior members may attend HYMB at other times provided that they are accompanied by an
adult member who is related to them and entitled to participate in the activity.
Cost £2.70
per 2 hour session
The minimum level of personal skill required of the Junior member is
Kayaking BCU 1 Star or Paddlepower Passport Level 5
Canoeing BCU 1 Star or Paddlepower Passport Level 5
Sailing RYA Stage 2
Windsurfing RYA Level 1
Climbing HYMB Rock 2 |
| Usage by Junior Members 16-17 years old |
Junior members who are over 16 years old may use the base at times other than organised
club sessions on the following basis.
At least 3 members participating in the same activity. Minimum level of personal skill
Kayaking BCU 3 star or Paddlepower Discover
Level 9
Canoeing BCU 2 star or Paddlepower Discover Level 9
Sailing RYA Seamanship Skills
Windsurfing RYA Level 2 or FastFWD introduction
Climbing HYMB Rock 3 + Climbers declaration signed by member and parent
Caving is not available as an unsupervised activity

| Adult Membership |
Adults are welcome to become members of HYMB in order to practice and develop their skills.
We have a wide variety of courses that are specifically aimed at adults.
Membership is not required for adults attending courses. However, adult members receive a
10% discount in course fees. Therefore if you become a member at the time of booking your
course you will benefit from this discount immediately.
Membership cost £15
and is required for all other adult use of HYMB and is valid
for a
year
(The management reserves the right to refuse admission).

| Usage By Adult Members |
Adult members can use the centre at other times providing the centre is open and equipment is
available. The minimum standards for proficiency on these occasions are:
Sailing RYA Level 2
Canoeing BCU 1 Star
Kayaking BCU 2 Star
Windsurfing RYA Level 1
Climbing Registered Climber (own equipment needed)
Caving LCMLA or attended a HYMB course.
It is advisable to phone in advance.

| Guest Membership |
Members are entitled to bring guests to HYMB for a maximum of 2 sessions (a session is a 2
hour period). Guests are the responsibility of the member.

| Family Days |
(Membership not required)
Designed for the family, mum and/or dad or guardian. Bring your daughters and sons for a fun
day at HYMB. Try 2 different activities, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Bring a
picnic for lunch time. Ratio of one adult to one or two children over nine years. Parents must
participate all day and in the same activity as their children. Pre booking is essential! |
